Degrees and Certifications:

Lynn Davies - Department Chair

I have been teaching in Northern Virginia for my entire 25 year career.  Previous to coming to Loudoun County 8 years ago, I taught in Fairfax County, beginning my career at my alma mater, James Madison High School.  I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Secondary Education from Boston College, and have a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Virginia Tech.  I have been lucky to have taught almost all the Social Science courses, from AP Human Geography to World History to Philosophy, and I believe the Social Sciences are so important as they help shape our view of the world.

I am married to an assistant principal, Scott, and we live in Brambleton with our 2 children - Sam and Megan.
