    SNOW!!!

I am sure that you all enjoyed some fun times on Tuesday and Wednesday with our days off.  Tuesday was the perfect day for sledding and snowman making while Wednesday was a little harder when everything froze.  I hope you all were able to make a couple of memories during this small snow storm.

I wanted to take this time to thank our PTA for funding $4000.00 worth of teacher grants for various equipment, books, and other materials for the classroom.  These materials and equipment will help implement our curriculum in better ways as well as give us more resources to use with the children.  Thank you so much for you continued support.

A HUGE thank you to many, but especially,

*Kirsten Bates - Picked up 45 dozen donuts in Sterling before the rooster even thought of crowing!!

*Ana Elisa DaVila - Volunteered to pick up coffee for everyone, but the shop never opened!!  Ana didn't give up, she went to two more locations hunting down 2 cambros full of coffee to bring back for everyone!  Not only that, she spoke with them later requesting they give us a gift card in the same amount to use towards Donuts with Dad in order to make things right!!!

    Valentine's Day Candy Message

In keeping with current practices designed to protect the health and safety of all children, elementary students in Loudoun County Public Schools are not permitted to distribute candy or other food items to classmates. As Valentine’s Day approaches, it is important for parents to understand that candy brought to school by students, including candy attached to Valentine’s Day cards, will be returned to the parent. Children are permitted to share Valentine's Day cards with each other, but they cannot give out candy.

    Online Art Portfolio

You might have gotten informaitn about a new way that Mrs. Johnson is sharing the students art work.  This is a great way to share their art work with you as parents as well as giving you all this tool to use to brag and share with family and friends.  If you have any questions about it, please email or call Mrs. Johnson.

     Annual Student Survey

Loudoun County Public Schools and Dominion Trail is currently administering the Annual Student Survey for the 2016-2017 school year to select students.  This instrument will help us measure elements of school culture in domains such as student relations, rules and expectations, school safety, teacher-student relations, and opportunities for social-emotional learning.  Results will be made available to school communities to evaluate and plan for future school needs.  Please give me a call or email if you have any questions.

    Kiss -N- Go

Thank you for getting your students here before the bell that rings at 7:50 AM.  I know that our "kiss -n- go" can get quite long. Please make sure to pull up to the farthest spot possible when dropping off.  This will allow us to unload the most amount of cars possible.  Please make sure to be patient as we all have the safety of our childen as our number one priority.  Thank you.
