Competition is one of the best parts of a DECA members' experience in the program, they learn so many new skills, and meet so many new people. The first level of competiton is Districts, which will be held at Independence High School on November 4th, 2019. If they advance, they move on to State competition in Virginia Beach. Virginia DECA SLC (State Leadership Conference) is the first stop in meeting new people, they instantly open themselves up to one of the states largest DECA associations, with Virginia having over 13,000 DECA members just like them. If they place at the State level competition, they will move on to International competition, also known as DECA ICDC (International Career Development Conference). Internationals has 17,000-20,000 DECA members all in the same city, and its one of the best experiences a DECA member can have, and is the Ultimate Goal for the member, for more information on each level of competition, see each of their respective pages (located on the left). The 2019 DECA International Career Development will be held in Nashville, TN in April.
