School SuppliesPlease remember that the school supplies list is an educated guess of what your student will need for the school year. It is assembled in the Spring before school starts and sent to the school supply company that provides the SchoolKits.Your student will need more supplies. They will take elective classes that need special items. In buying school supplies, please consider how your child best stays organized; a folder for each class, an accordion folder to carry everyday with a slot for each class, a binder to keep it all together?Consider that some children go through certain items faster than others. Purchase a good backpack that fits your child. They will be carrying a heavier load!Don't worry about unused items, overbuying or purchasing the incorrect items. Make a location for your school supplies at home; you will use them, either in middle school or in high school. The most frequently used school supplies in middle school and high school are: a flash drive, binders, binder dividers, loose leaf paper, pens, pencils, highlighters, index cards, notebooks, folders. Other items, if you see them on sale- buy them and store them: graph paper, Sharpie markers, dry erase markers, colored pencils, erasers, glue sticks, tape, scissors. Special items will include items like a TI 84 graphing calculator, protractors, sketch books, special art supplies, project boards, books. If you are on free or reduced lunch and need help with school supplies, please contact me or your school counselor.
