I am very excited to start my sixth year as a Trailblazer at Discovery Elementary.  I look forward to getting to know you and have the opportunity to help your fourth grader learn and grow.  Since we’ll be spending a lot of time together I want to tell you a little about myself and my family.

I grew up in a small town in Kansas and am proud to be a Kansas University Jayhawk alumni.  My husband and I met in high school and have been married for 39 years.  We have two daughters, Emily, and Amanda, two spoiled dogs, Sophie and Callie, and one orange tabby cat, Max.

My husband, Greg, was a career Army Officer so we spent much of the 24 years he was on active duty traveling from duty station to duty station.  Hence, I gained lots of experience teaching in several states.  I have taught 5th, 4th, 3rd, and Gifted and Talented, in Kansas, New York, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and Texas.  I also hold a Master's Degree in Education from Long Island University.

I am thrilled to be starting my 22nd year of teaching as a Discovery Trailblazer!
