Ms. Erica Meadows
My name is Erica Meadows. I was born in San Diego, California and lived there until I was 7 years old. My family moved to Haymarket, Virginia where we resided until 1994. I moved back to San Diego, California during my young adulthood. While living in San Diego, I attended San Diego State University and received my Bachelor of Arts in elementary education. I then attended National University in San Diego and received my Master of Education focusing on cross-cultural teaching. I substituted at the elementary school level for 4 years in San Diego and I was also a support-teacher for 4th and 5th grade students in language arts and math. I moved back to Virginia to be close to my family in 2010. I taught 4th grade and 5th grade in Frederick County Public Schools. This is my 5th year teaching in Loudoun County Public Schools. I love teaching 5th grade and look forward to another awesome year at The Ridge!
I live in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains! In my free time, I love hiking with my dog Satya. Living in the mountains allows for plenty of opportunities for hiking and enjoying nature! During the warmer weather, I enjoy kayaking on the Shenandoah River. I absolutely love music and I always search for opportunities to include music in many of the daily lessons in the classroom.
