Miss Jennifer Bush

My name is Miss Bush and this is my second year teaching at Hillside Elementary and my sixth year with LCPS. I have worked as paraprofessional, taught 2nd grade for 2 years,  Autism 3-5, and this year I will be continuing my journey as a  Resource Teacher. I could not be more excited about this opportunity.  I was born and raised in Loudoun County and studied Elementary Education at the University of Phoenix. I student taught at Leesburg Elementary School with 3rd grade students and worked at Tuscarora High School with special needs students. I also have experience working with students in a K-2 Intellectual Disabilities classroom and Cross- Categorical K-2 setting. All experiences have been extremely rewarding and have prepared me to teach while providing quality education in a nurturing environment.  My goal is to not only provide an encouraging and supportive learning envrionment for students, but to build a team with families through continuous interaction and feedback. Currently, I have MSE in Curriculum Instruction and a MSE in Special Education K-12. Currently, I am working on Educational Leadership Specialist Degree at ODU! Go MONARCHS!

I have one daughter who is truly amazing and the apple of my eye! I have a dog named Cookie, she is full of energy and a special part of our family. I come from a large family and I am the youngest of 7! In my spare time I enjoy hiking, reading, swimming, the gym, playing video games, puzzles and spending time with family and friends. I love to travel and experience different exotic places and cultures. I love sports and the Redskins are the best team around! Let’s go SKINS!

Both of my parents worked for Loudoun County Public Schools and I am both grateful and excited for this opportunity and new adventure I am about to embark on with Hillside Elementary!
