Dr. Clokes is thrilled to begin her ninth year at Hamilton Elementary.  Originally from western New York, Dr. Clokes relocated to northern Virginia from central Florida.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Old Dominion University (Go Monarchs!) in Norfolk, VA.  She earned a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Doctorate in Education with a specialization in curriculum development and instruction from Nova Southeastern University (Go Sharks!) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  Dr. Clokes is certified in Elementary Education preK-6, ELL preK-12 and Administration and Supervision preK-12.  She is also a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT). The 2022-2023 school year will be Dr. Clokes’s 19^th year teaching.  She previously taught 2^nd - 5^th grade in Florida.  Most recently, she taught 3^rd and 4^th grade at Sully Elementary in Sterling, VA and 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade at Hamilton.  It is Dr. Clokes’s desire to be an example of a life-long learner for her students.  Outside of school, Dr. Clokes enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading great books, shopping for bargains online, and trying delicious new recipes.  She especially enjoys cheering on the NY Giants, as well as, exploring the great outdoors with her husband, Damian, and her son, Deacon.  Dr. Clokes is looking forward to another fabulous year at Hamilton Elementary.  Let the fun and learning begin!
