Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Pamela De Leon
As a graduate of Languages and Linguistics from Georgetown University, and a recipient of a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Curriculum from George Mason University, I am thrilled to be a returning member of the pack at Trailside, year 5! I eagerly look forward to a great year teaching Spanish and wholeheartedly say, "Bienvenidos" to my students.
Although I am a New Yorker at heart from the Hudson Valley, Virginia has been my home for many years. I have lived in Mexico and lived and studied in Spain and currently spend most summers traveling to Europe. In the summer of 2015, I was awarded a scholarship by the NEH to study at the famous Prado Museum in Madrid and in 2016, I attended a worldwide conference on Human Rights at the Hague. This past summer I traveled to Germany in July which prompted me to become a student of the German language (it's never too late!) and to England in August, where I visited many National Trust Country Houses in Bath, the Peak District and the Lake District and fell in love with British history and literature! In my free time, I am an avid reader, love to garden and spend time with my family and our dog, Opie, an English Lab.
"No dejes para mañana lo que puedas hacer hoy."Hasta Luego y Buena Suerte!
