Mrs. Dana Bober

Greetings Tolbert Families,

I am beyond excited to serve the Tolbert community as your assistant principal for the 2019-2020 school year!  This is my third year at Tolbert and I'm honored to be a part of Tolbert's legacy of excellence.  I was Tolbert's dean for a few years before stepping into the role of assistant principal.  The best part of my job is being a part of such a dedicated staff that are committed to giving our students the best experiences each day!

Upon graduating from Longwood University, I began my teaching career as a first-grade teacher in Prince William County Schools.  I also taught fourth-grade for many years before moving into a sixth-grade social studies position at Trailside Middle School.  Numerous leadership opportunities throughout my career led me to further my education.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Longwood University, endorsements in both elementary and middle school, and a Masters of Education in Educational Administration from Shenandoah University.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters!  I love to cook and entertain family and friends.  I also love following sports, especially the Washington Capitals!  Go CAPS!  I also have a very energetic English-Springer Spaniel named Belle.

I believe in fostering the most positive, supportive environment for our Tolbert Tornadoes.  I also believe that elementary school sets the stage for cultivating life-long learners.  We cannot accomplish this alone, but rather through collaboration with all members of the community.  Communication is such an important piece in this process.  Please reach out if I can be of assistance in any way.

I look forward to working with our wonderful students and families!
