Mrs. Dana Bober

Greetings Tolbert Families,

I'm ready for another exciting year as your assistant principal for the 2023-2024 school year! This is my seventh year at Tolbert and I'm honored to be a part of Tolbert's legacy of excellence. I was Tolbert's dean for a few years before stepping into the role of assistant principal. The best part of my job is being a part of such a dedicated staff that is committed to giving our students the best experiences each day! Watching our students learn and grow both academically and socially is the most rewarding part of my job as an administrator.

Upon graduating from Longwood University, I began my teaching career as a first-grade teacher in Prince William County Schools. I also taught fourth grade for many years before moving into a sixth-grade social studies position at Trailside Middle School. Numerous leadership opportunities and a desire to have a broader impact led me to further my education. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Longwood University, endorsements in both elementary and middle school, and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Shenandoah University.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters! I also have a very energetic English Springer Spaniel named Belle. I love to cook and entertain family and friends. Putting together puzzles is my favorite way to relax and de-stress. I've got quite a few of my favorite Disney puzzles in my office that our students love to see. I also love following sports, especially the Washington Capitals! Go CAPS!

I believe in fostering the most positive, supportive environment for our Tolbert Tornadoes. I also believe that elementary school sets the stage for cultivating life-long learners. We cannot accomplish this alone, but rather through collaboration with all members of the community. Communication is such an important piece in this process. Please reach out if I can be of assistance in any way.

I look forward to working with our wonderful students and families!
