    • 3 ring 1 ½” Clear Cover Notebook BINDER
    • Notebook paper and pen or pencil
    • OPTIONAL: Box of tissues to donate classroom use

    Course Information

    It is the student’s responsibility to make up any instructional time missed prior to the next class. Students can do this by referencing loudounvision.net where all assignments, notes, and handouts are located. Click to view the CALENDAR which shows what is covered each day. Print this and keep in your notebook for easy reference. 

     
    Ms. Bowers, Mrs. Fianko, Mrs. Kittelson, Ms. Owens, Mr. Russell, and Mrs. Wortman are certified to teach Introduction to Personal Finance at Dominion High School. They have participated in various training activities and have their WISE Financial Literacy Industry Certification. 
     
    This course will be taught in both a daily 45-minute block and a 90-minute every other day block. Below is an estimated plan for the quarter.  Necessary adjustments will be made as the teachers and students work through the curriculum. Items in bold will be done in the computer lab.
     
    Please note:  
    • “Days” refers to 90-minute blocks
    • There are approximately 22 ninety-minute blocks in 9 weeks however some classes are shortened due to assemblies, pep rallies, PSAT testing, AP testing, and SOLs.

To receive this honor, a school, testing ten or more students, must have achieved a 75% passing rate on the Financial Literacy Certification Test and have EITHER a majority of students on a given grade level take the Test OR have the students who took it achieve an average score of 80% or higher.
