The EL program provides EL students with instruction in the English language by emphasizing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through the use of a structured English language approach.

We (the EL teachers at Discovery) work with grade level teachers and may provide language, math and reading intervention services to EL students and to other students who need support. We seek to meet individual student needs in the most inclusive environment. We instruct through models that best fit the linguistic level of each student while promoting grade level content and rigor.
