Hi, my name is Shirley Pedersen and I love being a Moorefield Station Shark! This will be my 27th year of teaching in public education and my 7th as a MSE Shark. I received my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies at Radford University in 1993. I went on to receive my endorsements in Special Education through the University of Virginia. I began my career teaching in Pulaski VA, Newport News VA, and Fredrick County VA. For the last 16 years I have taught in Loudoun County as a kindergarten and first grade teacher. When I am not teaching, you can find me hanging out with my husband, Andrew. I also enjoy crafting, reading, learning about new technology to use in the classroom and beach time with my nieces and nephews.
Hi! I’m Claudia Aabel and I am excited to start a new year at Moorefield Station. I have two children, Pedro and Camila, they are the loves of my life. Pedro is currently in the Navy and is deploying to Japan for two years. I am very proud of him, but I will miss him so much. My daughter Camila, who is 22, is my baby and I am so lucky to have her living with me right now. My husband Brian, is a software engineer and travels a lot. My dog, Bella keep me company on most nights. In my spare time I love to hike, camp and travel with family!
