Patricia MulkeyWelcome Readers! My name is Tricia Mulkey and I am one of the reading specialists at Moorefield Station Elementary School. I am excited to begin another year of empowering Moorefield students to become independent and successful readers.
This is my 10th year at Moorefield Station and my 13th year as a reading specialist. I have lived and taught in Loudoun County for 20 years. I have also taught as a classroom teacher in Maryland, Spain and New Jersey. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Glassboro State College. I completed my Master of Science Degree in Education as well as my Reading Certification from Shenandoah University.
I am a lover of the beach, reading and my dogs. I am looking forward to sharing my passion for reading with Moorefield Sharks. Let's keep moving forward!
Lisa Loy
Hello Sharks! My name is Lisa Loy and I am thrilled to be joining the Moorefield Station community. This will be my 15th year as a reading specialist and 22nd year in LCPS. Prior to becoming a reading specialist, I taught first grade in Loudoun County and Kindergarten in Maryland.
I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from the State University of NY at Fredonia and a Master of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Salisbury University. I received my Reading Certification from Old Dominion University.
I live in Ashburn with my husband and two beautiful daughters. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, watching hockey, and traveling. I look forward to a wonderful year of sharing my love of reading with my students and enabling them to become lifelong readers.
