    • Post-graduate study (30 semester hours) in Speech Pathology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA
    • MLS (Master's Degree in Library Science) from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC
    • Have been a head librarian, media specialist, and information specialist for the last 34 years at elementary & high schools in Virginia, Arizona, Michigan and abroad at Department of Defense Dependent Schools in Germany & Korea.
    • I live at Belmont Country Club in Ashburn with my husband, who is a professor and the department chair of Government & Politics at the UMUC (University of Maryland University College).  We have one daughter who teaches Asian History at Wellesley College in Massachusetts.  In my free time, I enjoy reading (naturally!), international travel with my husband,  collecting ethnic dolls, and listening to classic music.
