The first part of the course is designed to teach the alphabetic and punctuation keys, keyboard numbers, and symbols. Every lesson contains timed exercises and students are encouraged to meet speed and accuracy goals. Learning to type is necessary for this grade to get the fingers and mind working together. Students are expected to complete all of the lessons in Typing Club that I assign, working on good posture and technique, and lessons that I put on the Schoology page under their weekly folder before the due date provided. Students will also be evaluated on their projects and assignments as well. Students can redo any assignment in class or during a resource that they have been given that is inTyping Club or projects. Students can work on this computer software program at school or at home. Please click on the links to the left for class syllabus, parent/student letter, parent info. sheet
