The first part of the course is designed to teach the alphabetic and punctuation keys, keyboard numbers, and symbols. Every lesson contains timed exercises and students are encouraged to meet speed and accuracy goals. The purpose of these timed exercises is to get the fingers and mind working together. Students are expected to complete all of the lessons in Microtype, working on good posture and technique, and lessons in the Google Classroom before the due date provided. Students will be evaluated on their projects and assignments as well. Students can redo any assignment in class or during resource that they have been given that is in Microtype since they are only able to work on this computer software program at school. Please click on the links to the left for class syllabus, parent/student letter, parent info. sheet
