• Re-teaching, Re-assessing, and Re-scoring Policy

The Physical Education Department believes that students learn at different rates and in different ways. We will use our formative assessments to see if a student has mastered the content. If the student has not mastered the content, we will re-teach and adjust the instruction for that student. Students will also be given opportunities for alternative assessments. For example, a student may not able to perform or demonstrate a correct push-up but can cognitively explain the correct form.

Any student that gets below a 70% on a summative assessment will be required to retest. Students will be given the information again through re-teaching.(This will be done in class, before school, or after school)

Any student that scores above 70% will have an option to re-test. Students must inform the teacher within one week of the assessment (Students can come in from 8:15 am until 8:35 am to the main gym).

Students new scores will be reentered
