• Welcome Pinebrook Families!

I am excited to serve as your parent liaison at Pinebrook Elementary. In the past I worked professionally as a school counselor in New York, Connecticut, and Virginia at both the secondary and elementary levels. I also work as an admissions outside reader for The George Washington University and serve on the board of directors for the Tourette Association of America Mid-Atlantic Chapter. I currently live in the Dulles South area with my four children (a son in fifth grade at Cardinal Ridge, two daughters at Lunsford in grades six and eight, and a son in tenth grade at Loudoun School for the Gifted). All four of my children attended Pinebrook at one point and I am thrilled to be back here. In my spare time I enjoy running, reading, and playing drums and piano.

A Parent Liaison works to bridge the communication between school and home. I can do this in many ways to help parents get the help, support, and information they need to aid their child’s school success. Some ways I can help include:

    Providing a tour of Pinebrook

    • Helping you find ways to volunteer and be involved in the school
    • Answering questions about school rules and regulations
    • Assisting in finding food, medical, housing, and other social services
    • Arranging for interpreter services
    • Facilitating parent-school communications

I understand that some of these situations may be difficult to discuss. I would like you to know that any information shared will remain confidential.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

    Christine Varanelli
