Mrs. Little

Welcome to First Grade!  I am so happy to have you here at Legacy.  It is a wonderful school where your children will feel loved and love to learn.  

My own background includes a degree from the University of Virginia, where I studied German and Computer Science. I had a wonderful career in the IT world working for Unisys.  I also have an MS degree in Information Systems from George Mason University and I continued my education in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Education before taking a break to stay home and raise three boys.  I was inspired by so many of the great teachers here at Legacy that I decided to return to school to become a teacher!  It has been a great career change and I encourage those who have a love of education and children to enter the field.

I currently live in Ashburn with my husband Pat and a cute little dog named Sadie! We love going on walks and enjoying the outdoors.  I have one son who graduated from James Madison University and is working in the IT world, another who went to the University of Virginia and is serving as a cyber officer in the Army, and one who played soccer for Virginia Tech and is also working in IT.  Gardens, professional development, travel, diet cokes, family, and friendships are all a part of my life I truly enjoy!

This is my 13th year of teaching and I continue to love to learn! It is my hope to pass on my love of education to your children so they will also become lifelong learners!
