  • Important 2023 HCA Enrollment Lottery Information:

    The 2023 HCA lottery occurred March 15th, 2023, you can watch the video of the lottery here: 2023 HCA Lottery Video

    Registration for this year’s HCA’s Enrollment Lottery Closes at 5:00 pm on Friday, March 10th.  Families registering after this time will not be included in the 2023 Lottery.

    • Letters to families SELECTED in this year’s Lottery will be emailed on Thursday, March 16th. Families will have until 9:00 am on Wednesday, March 22nd to accept their positions at HCA.
    • Families of non-selected scholars will be notified of their positions on the Wait List on Thursday, March 23rd.

    Hillsboro Charter Academy is a tuition-free public charter school. Enrollment is open to all Loudoun students in grades K-5 as they are invited in through the waitlist.

    Hillsboro Charter Academy accepts applications for enrollment year-round. Enrollment spots are filled as they become available throughout the year as well, up until the lottery.

    Each year, applications for Hillsboro Charter Academy’s school year lottery are taken up through the second Friday in March, with an enrollment lottery scheduled to take place during the following week. Applications received after the lottery deadline are placed in the order they are received, falling below the students selected during the lottery.

    There are often openings each year in all grade levels, but the greatest availability is in the incoming kindergarten class. The shortest waitlists are in the higher grades. Informational tours for parents of prospective students are scheduled regularly at the school. Please check out our calendar to see when these will occur.
