Welcome To Music at Evergreen Mill Elementary School!
Mrs. Wendy Testa and Mrs. Beth Samson
The Loudoun County elementary music curriculum consists of a well-planned sequence of developmentally appropriate experiences leading to clearly defined skills and knowledge.  The program is designed to actively involve students of all learning modalities using materials carefully selected for their aesthetic value.
**This year looks different.  During Distance Learning, we will meet each Kindergarten through fifth grade class once a week.  Kindergarten classes will be 30 minutes, grades one through five will be 45 minutes. Fifth grade chorus will not meet this year. Our performances will not take place.
Students in Kindergarten through grade five participate in music class twice a week.   The fourth and fifth grade students study the recorder.  The music department prepares a Veterans Day program in which the entire student body participates.  The first, third and fifth grades each perform a grade level program.   The kindergarten classes perform at the Volunteer
Breakfast.  Fifth grade may choose to participate in Python Singers, our school chorus.
