Degrees and Certifications:
School Administration Middle Grades Science Reading
Mr. Robert L. Carter
Dear Banneker Community,
I am very excited to be part of the Banneker Family. I am a Virginia native but did my undergraduate studies at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, where I obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education. Additionally, I am certified in Middle Education Science and Education Administration. More recently, I have completed my professional learning certificate for a degree in Reading. My graduate studies (Reading and Education Administration) were completed at Shenandoah University in Virginia. I am currently a doctoral student at the College of William & Mary in the School of Education's Executive Policy, Planning, and Leadership (EPPL) program. I spent the first part of my career teaching middle school Science before transitioning to school administration where I served as an elementary school Assistant Principal in Clarke County, Virginia, and more recently at Emerick ES in Purcellville, Virginia.
I have enjoyed serving this community for the last eight years and I look forward to serving it for years to come. If you don't know the story of Banneker's rich history, make sure to check it out on our website HISTORY OF BANNEKER. I am looking forward to continuing to connect with the community and to building strong relationships with Banneker families. Let me know what I can do to give your child the best possible elementary experience. Please check the website and view the monthly newsletters for more information.
