Welcome to 5th Grade!

Hello, my name is Emily Cochran. This will be my sixth year teaching, but my second year at Kenneth Culbert. I couldn't be more excited about sharing the year with you. I live with my family on a farm in western Loudoun County. We raise chickens and sheep and have cats and dogs, too! When I have time, I enjoy reading and working in my garden. I have lived in Loudoun my entire life. In my senior year at Loudoun Valley High School, I participated in the Loudoun teacher cadet program, and my decision to teach was solidified. I went on to attend Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia, and obtained a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. The education program there was rich in content and experience and prepared me well for the classroom.  To continue to grow as an educator, I am working on an online master's program in school counseling through William & Mary.
