Hello Falcon Family!!!! 

I am super excited to be a part of this dynamic community.  My name is Rhonda Lopez, and I am your Principal here at Forest Grove.  This is an exceptional community with an amazing staff, students and welcoming families.  As a family we make Forest Grove a fabulous place to work and play.

I love the Sterling Park area!  I have served as the Assistant Principal at Guilford Elementary for 5 1/2 year and now the principal here since 2022.  It continues to be a true pleasure to work with and serve the Sterling Park area and am so happy to call this area home.

A little about me… I have been married to my highschool sweetheart for the last 29 years.  We have a son (24), a daughter (20) and 4 year old dog, Lyric.  We are proud of them all.  I am starting my 25th.  I have taught at both Potowmack ES and Steuart Weller ES.  After I received my Administrative Leadership degree, I worked as the dean of both Steuart Weller and Seldens Landing.  From there, I have served as AP at Guilford since 2016 until my transition to The Grove. Prior to working within LCPS, I worked for a couple of years in private school as well.  In any school setting, I have enjoyed building relationships with my students and their families.  I know the secret to a strong family and school connection, and that is the strength of the family-school relationship. 

Here at Forest Grove, it is my mission to provide our Falcon community with a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment with equitable opportunities to empower our family of Champions!   Please know that my door is always open and I will continue to find ways to bring out the best in this amazing community.
