Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Anida Levesque

Hello Timberwolves!  I am so excited about the 2023-2024 school year!  This is my 15th year in Loudoun County Schools but my 3rd year as a librarian.

I am originally from San Antonio, Texas, and attended Southwest Texas State University where I majored in Communication Disorders and minored in Science.  I received my Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 1991 from the University of Texas.  Thirty years later in May 2021, I received my Master's degree in School Librarianship from Longwood University.  I have lived in Northern Virginia since late 1999 and I have two children who attend Loudoun County Public Schools.  Trailside is one of my neighborhood schools and both of my daughters attended Trailside during their middle school years.

In my spare time, I love to take nature photos, garden, crochet, and, of course, read books. I love to walk on the many trails around my house and my youngest daughter and I enjoy exploring and hiking on trails in Virginia and West Virginia.   One of my passions is raising and releasing monarch butterflies, although I am sad to say that this past season, I have not had a monarch visitor to my milkweed patch and I worry that their numbers are dwindling exponentially.  My favorite genre is Science Fiction/Dystopia and my favorite teen and middle-grade authors are Neil Shusterman, Tahereh Mafi, Rainbow Rowell, and Donna Barbra Higuera; however, my favorite author of all time is Stephen King and I have read all of his novels, novellas, and short stories that are still in print.

I live in Ashburn with my husband, my two daughters, two cats, two dogs, and 2 parakeets.
