Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Shelby Leib, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! This is my fourth year teaching, and I am so happy to be a part of the Countryside community! When I moved back to Virginia after 4 years of college in Indiana, I became an LCPS substitute teacher and finished the 2019-2020 school year as a long-term 2nd-grade substitute here at Countryside. The staff and students here are so kind and welcoming; you have found yourself in the right place!
I grew up here in Sterling and went to Potowmack Elementary and River Bend Middle School before going to Paul VI Catholic High School. I then graduated from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana in May 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a double minor in Early Childhood Education and American History. While at Saint Mary’s, I worked recruiting for the University of Notre Dame Football team, which was a dream come true experience (Go Irish!)
In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, and we love to travel, whether going to our beach house in Bethany Beach, Delaware, Williamsburg, or even Disney World! I also love to watch movies (especially Disney movies), bake, draw, read, and watch Notre Dame football!
Our classroom has a kind, open, and welcoming environment for everyone!
I would like to stress the importance of our parent-teacher relationship and how it is vital in helping your child to be as successful as possible.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to email me at email@example.com. I am so excited for this upcoming school year!
Welcome to Kindergarten!
