Mrs. Wilson

Welcome, Countryside families! My name is Michele Wilson, and I am lucky enough to spend every day doing what I love – KINDERGARTEN. I have been a part of the Countryside community for 14 years. First as a parent and a volunteer, then as a substitute teacher and finally as a kindergarten assistant! This year will be my fifth as an assistant.

A little about myself - I am originally from Maryland, and my husband and I traveled across the river to settle in Virginia soon after we got married. We moved right around the corner from what is now Countryside Elementary. We even watched the school being built when our oldest son was a toddler. (He LOVED the construction vehicles!) Now that same son is in college, my daughter is a senior at Potomac Falls High School and my youngest son is an eighth grader at River Bend Middle School. All three loved their time at Countryside.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and our sweet and crazy new dog Chloe. My hobbies include photography and traveling. I love history and at any given time you will find me wandering the streets of Boston, Charleston, DC or any other historic city or place, soaking it all in. I am also eternally happy at the beach!

In the upcoming school year, I look forward getting to know your children and working with them. Kindergarten is a special place and each child is unique. Watching them grow and come so far from the first day of school to the last is miraculous. It is truly my privilege to spend this milestone year with your amazing children!
