Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Burger

Mrs. Burger is very excited to have found a place among the amazing Wildcat staff! Mrs. Burger is a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan University where she studied K-12 Education and the Fine Arts. She later  attained her graduate degree from La Salle University with a focus on 21st century learning skills and classroom management. She is originally from Maryland, where she taught for 8 years, before moving with her family  to Western Loudoun County in 2019. She made the move with her husband Jeremy, daughter Lily,  and dog Remy. In her first year at Steuart Weller, her son Camden was born and joined the Wildcat  family! Mrs. Burger is so happy to be here at Weller and work with the many families that make this wonderful community unique.  As an educator, one of Mrs. Burger's greatest goals is to foster creativity in all of her students as they solve problems and explore a variety of art mediums. One thing she most enjoys about teaching art is the opportunity that it allows students to gain confidence and independence in themselves as they express themselves creatively. When she is not teaching, she enjoys being outdoors with family and friends. She has fallen in love with the beauty of the Blue Ridge mountains and is constantly inspired by them for her landscape paintings.
