Mrs. Waffle

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Waffle

Hello Falcons! My name is Mrs. Waffle and I am so excited to be here at Forest Grove full-time this year! I have considered Forest Grove my part-time home for the past 2 years, as I worked to support teachers in addressing the reading needs of struggling readers.  This year I have the privilege of working here as a School-Based Instructional Facilitator, and I can’t wait to get to know the students and work with the teachers more closely!

This will be my 34th year of teaching here in Loudoun County Public Schools. I have taught special education at Sully, Sterling and Countryside Elementary. I have also served students as a Precision Teacher for LCPS, providing reading fluency instruction at the elementary level. For the past two years I have served in an administrative role as an Instructional Facilitator for Specialized Reading, working with 7 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 1 high school in the Sterling area. And now I am here!

A little bit about me – I have been married and living in Sterling, VA for 34 years, and I have two grown children, Emily and Jay. I also have three cats – Zorro, Rascal, and Roxy and one dog named Cocoa Puff! I love being outdoors, especially near water, as well as taking strolls through vintage and antique stores. I also enjoy scrapbooking and taking photos.

I am so thankful for the opportunities that are here at Forest Grove Elementary and I’m looking forward to growing and learning with everyone here!
