Mental Health & Wellness Conference

  • The Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Department of Student Services is hosting its 5thAnnual Mental Health and Wellness Conference, which will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Lightridge High School in Aldie. This year’s conference will focus not only on mental health topics, but also nutrition, fitness, music, arts, and other areas that are essential to wellness and positively impact mental health. Members of the LCPS community, including parents and guardians, LCPS staff, and other community members, will be invited to attend this conference. The conference schedule will include three concurrent sessions of 50 minutes each. The resource fair will be available throughout the conference.

Diagnostic & Prevention Services

The Office of Diagnostic and Prevention Services is responsible for the leadership, management and provision of services and supports to schools and students in the areas of educational diagnostic services; threat assessment; child find and eligibility for special education; Section 504 identification, evaluation, and placement; early childhood identification services; and Multi-Tiered System of Supports that includes Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports, Response to Intervention, and Social-Emotional Learning.

The Office of Student Services supports the LCPS mission of empowering ALL students to make meaningful contributions to the world by providing a full range of services and resources for all students, including outreach services, student registration, homebound instruction, residency determination, McKinney-Vento services, special permission, home instruction, and school-based student health services.
