This is my 5th year teaching at Rock Ridge High School. I've taught all levels of physics, and I genuinely enjoy working with students to help them explore the world around them. I have a bachelors degree in physics from Virginia Tech with minors in math, astronomy, and art history. I graduated as co-valedictorian of the physics department with my now-husband. I also have a masters in instructional design, specializing in physics education.

I am the Science National Honor Society Sponsor, the Science Olympiad Sponsor, as well as a mentor for students participating in the VASTS program. I encourage all science students to look at the extracurricular program information provided on the Science Department Website - many of the programs are free and focused on various real-world applications and experiences of science.
