Mrs. Katie Baron

I am looking forward to my 6th year at Trailside, this year teaching both 7th & 8th grade FACS! I received a B.S. in Family and Child Development from Virginia Tech, "Go Hokies!' and gained my teaching licensure through Shenandoah University with an endorsement in Family and Consumer Science.

My husband and I are both Loudoun County natives and are thrilled to be raising our two boys here as well. Our oldest son will be a sophomore at James Madison University and our youngest will be a sophomore at Briar Woods High School. When I am not teaching you'll likely see me on a soccer field, a basketball court or out walking in the neighborhood with my husband, friends or pup, Bodie!

While this is my 6th year teaching middle school students, I do have over 25 years worth of teaching experience! Prior to joining the Trailside team, I taught Pre-K at a local preschool and loved every minute of it! I certainly miss the little guys, but I love working with older students even more! I'm excited to have a few of my preschoolers as 7th and 8th graders this year!

I can't wait to utilize my education and teaching experience to help my students learn the critical life skills needed to become successful members of tomorrow's workplaces, families and communities! And I'm even more excited to be doing that for the next generation of Loudoun County students!
