Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Shenandoah Conservatory

Mr. Andrew Giotta

Mr. Giotta graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University in May, 2017 with a bachelor's degree in music education.  During his time at Shenandoah Conservatory, he studied with Michael Bunn (Kennedy Center Opera House).  Mr. Giotta also performed with every large musical ensemble in the Shenandoah Conservatory including the Symphony Orchestra (conducted by Jan Wagner), Wind Ensemble (conducted by Dr. Damon Talley and Dr. Timothy Robblee), and Concert Band (conducted by Dr. Shanti Nolan).
Mr. Giotta is excited to return to Stone Hill Middle School for the 2019-2020 school year teaching 8th and 6th grade band.  His previous experiences include conducting the chorus and teaching general music at Woodlawn Elementary School, working at several summer music camps, teaching at a day school for children with autism, and working as an assistant marching band director.
