Ms. Rama Srinivasan

Ms. Srinivasan will be teaching Honors Physics, Dual Enrollment Physics and Environmental Science. She is entering her fifth year, teaching at Rock Ridge, and is looking forward to having a fun-filled, productive school year. She has a collective teaching and academic related experience of over eighteen years – ten of them were college level classes, teaching undergraduate Computer Science and directing a high school Web-Based Pre-Calculus Program in the states of Tennessee and Arkansas, respectively. She taught Mathematics and Physics at the middle school and high school levels in Bangalore, India for five years in the Indian ICSE system (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) and Mathematics in the IGCSE system (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) affiliated with the University of Cambridge International Examinations before joining Loudoun County Public Schools. She is very passionate about teaching and believes in the idea of being a life-long learner herself. She is a very optimistic person by nature, and would like to make her classes relevant and meaningful. She loves to listen to South Indian Classical music and to read news articles on a variety of topics. Ms. Srinivasan is a co-sponsor of the Rock Ridge High School Debate Team and is also the co-sponsor of the Science National Honor Society.
