Dear FDES Music Stars, 

My name is Mrs. Miranda Borhauer I am so excited to start my third year here at FDES! I am going into my fourth year of teaching in Loudoun County after graduating from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. My degree is a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. In our classroom, we will be learning music through the Orff approach. Right now, I'm working on getting my Master's in Special Education with a focus in Autism Spectrum Disorders. We will sing, say, create, improvise and dance! Over the past three summers, I worked to get my Orff certification and I am happy to see I completed it. 

Outside of school, I enjoy teaching private lessons, running, and playing with my cats. Some of my favorite things include the color blue, cats and dogs, reading and cooking! 

I'm looking forward to a fantastic year with all of you!
