Ms. Megan Baird
Hello! I am Megan Baird and I have been a dean at Blue Ridge since 2017. I am excited for the opportunity to continue helping teachers and students throughout the school year. Prior to Blue Ridge, I taught 7th Grade U.S. History and 8th grade Civics & Economics at Simpson Middle School for 5 years. I also was given the opportunity to co-teach the AVID program during the 2016-2017 school year, which focuses on helping students with study skills, organization skills and collaboration.
I grew up in the Hudson Valley of New York until I attended college. I graduated from Salisbury University in Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in History/Secondary Education in 2010. In 2017, I graduated with my master’s degree in Educational Administration from Shenandoah University. I began my teaching career in West Virginia, where my parents relocated, but came to Loudoun County shortly after. Along with teaching, I have coached cross-country and track and field for five years at John Champe High School.
I am excited about the school year ahead and the opportunities that will arise. Please contact me with any questions or concerns at any time!
