She began teaching in 2010 at Landmark High School in New York City, a progressive NYS Consortium school, where she taught all grade levels. In 2013, Ms. Beasley married her husband and was Fairfax County bound; she taught all grade levels at McLean High School and was assistant coach of the Varsity Girls Lacrosse team, and was a class sponsor.

Ms. Beasley joined the Rock Ridge High School English team in 2016 and she teaches Dual Enrollment and AP Language, and she sponsors the National English Honor Society.  She now lives in Purcellville with her husband and their beagle fur-babies, Duke and Bella, and she is looking forward to welcoming a new baby boy to her family this August, so she'll be on maternity leave until December!
