Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Herndon-Fourth Grade is the BEST!
I have truly enjoyed teaching in Loudoun County the last three years. My husband and I built our first home in Aldie when we first got married. For over twenty years, I taught fourth grade in Rockbridge County (home of Virginia Military Institute, Washington and Lee University, and the Virginia Horse Center.) I am thrilled to continue to teach the grade I love and look forward to my fourth year at Arcola.
I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies at Virginia Tech. I hold a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction and proudly wear my Hokie orange and maroon. Hokie football is a passion of mine so let's hope this fall brings the team another Atlantic Coast Conference championship. Let's GO, Hokies!
Teaching in Loudoun is a family affair. My son, daughter, son-in-law, and daughter-in-law are all educators in Loudoun County. Though my husband is not a teacher, he is a graduate of Loudoun County High and also a Virginia Tech graduate.
In my spare time, I love to read, play Scrabble, watch football, and walk. I also enjoy writing and started my own blog.
Being an Arcola dragon has been terrific. Let's have a unbelieveably great year!! If you need to contact me, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
