Mrs. Julie Gonet

Hi Labs! Welcome to 5th grade! My name is Julie Gonet and and this will be my 9th year as a Legacy Lab!

I graduated from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. After being in the workfoce for several years, I decided to pursue my dream of being a teacher and continued my education at Mary Baldwin College where I earned my teaching license in Elementary Education. I started my teaching career at Legacy and am honored to call this place my second home.  I made the jump to 5th grade last year after having taught 3rd grade for seven years!  Science is my jam!  We will spend much of our time in our classroom  exploring matter and energy through hands on experiments, so be prepared to get messy!

I have 6 year old twins, Anderson and Eva, who are starting 1st grade this Fall at Round Hill Elementary School.  We also have a Whoodle (Wheaten Terrior Poodle Mix), George, who is the love of all our lives. In my spare time I enjoy exercising, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.
