My name is Michelle Coffelt and you can find me and my fabulous students in room 15. This is my sixth year teaching 3rd grade at Countryside Elementary. I previously taught 2nd grade for ten years in Frederick County, VA (at Orchard View Elementary).
Let me tell you about myself. I grew up in Jeannette, which is a small town in PA. As an only child, I enjoy going home to visit my parents as often as I can. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh (main campus) with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I moved to Winchester, VA for my first teaching job. Then, I moved to Loudoun County in 2015 to start a new adventure!
When I'm not at school, I keep myself busy in many ways. Spending time with my husband, Jonathan, and my toddler, Amantha, are a top priority. I enjoy being near water (the pool or beach), watching movies, taking walks, cooking healthy meals, reading magazines, cheering on all Pittsburgh sports teams, and shopping. I'm in two book clubs, so I'm always looking for something exciting to read.
I absolutely love teaching 3rd graders! I do my best to make my classroom a positive, fun environment. Getting to know my students and their families is something that I look forward to. I know we are going to have a fantastic 2020-2021 school year!
