• WELCOME TO MS. MALAYIL'S CLASS!
     
    Welcome
     
    Ms. Malayil is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She went to college at the University of Michigan and is a devoted Michigan football fan.  Go Blue!  After college, Ms. Malayil earned her teaching certificate at the University of Pittsburgh and completed her Masters degree in Reading at Shenandoah University.  Her son, Neil, is a previous Catoctin student and will be starting his senior year of college at George Mason in the fall.  They have both enjoyed the Catoctin community through the years.
     
    Ms. Malayil has taught for a total of 28 years.  This will be her 17th year teaching first grade at Catoctin.  She has had many varied teaching experiences throughout the years, and she is confident that this year will be one of the best!
     
    Ms. Malayil knows that parents are a crucial piece of every child's learning experience and appreciates your involvement in your child's education.  Please feel free to e-mail her if you ever have any questions.  She looks forward to a wonderful year with you and your student!
