Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Brianne Foster
Hello to everyone.
The 2018-19 school year is my 5th year here at TMS. I am so happy to be embarking on the final year with this group of students. As you may know, my background is as a social worker working with at risk youth, adults, and person's with intellectual disabilities in the community prior to my work as a school counselor. I earned by bachelor's degree in social work from George Mason University and my Master's degree in School Counseling from Virginia Tech.
Working with youth to help them realize their true potential is a personal passion. I love to travel, meeting new people, and seeing/discovering new places. I am sure that some of that steams from growing up in a military family where I ended up moving frequently and always adjusting to new areas and people every few years. I have lived in a variety of locals, including Germany, Panama, and most recently in Bahrain. My extended family continues to live in Indiana. I do my best to stay in touch and visit them throughtout the year. My family and I love living here in Loudoun County and try to visit the surrounding area and all that it has to offer. In my spare time, I love to be creative but most of all I love spending time with family and friends.
I am looking foward to the upcoming school year and helping this 8th grade group complete their journey through middle school and on into high school. I enjoy the work we've done over the last 2 years and hope to continue the work helping the students in finding their true path in life. Let's continue the exciting journey and make this a successful school year!
