Mr. Alex Bennett

Greetings!

 My name is Mr. Bennett and I am part of the Social Science and Global Studies department here at Woodgrove. I have been teaching within the Loudoun County Public School System since 2006. I have been a part of the Woodgrove family since 2010. 

I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Michigan where I received my undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University. I graduated in 2005 and moved to Virginia to begin student teaching and I was hired by Loudoun County Public Schools in 2006. I am an avid tennis player and play regularly, I am a frequent visitor to the most historic sites in Virginia and have traveled to Europe extensively. I have a beautiful wife named Caroline and my daughter Amelia [spud]. In my spare time when I am not being a dad and teacher, I love to read any and all books dealing with the Constitution, civil rights/liberties, constitutional law.

 Teaching Background: Academic U.S. Government, U.S. History, Post-WWII, Dual Enrollment Government, AP U.S. & Comparative Government.

Since 2010, I have been a volunteer firefighter with the Combined System of Loudoun County Fire & Rescue
