I am very excited to start my third year at Legacy Elementary! This will be my ninth year teaching. Previously, I was at Hillside Elementary School working with both 4th and 5th grades as a Resource Teacher. I am very excited to be in fourth grade as it is my favorite grade to teach!

I graduated from James Madison University with both a Bachelors in Music Education PK-12 and a Masters in Special Education K-12 with an additional certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders. I also have a K-6 Elementary Education endorsement after taking classes at George Mason University.  I am a product of Loudoun County Public Schools as I graduated from Stone Bridge High School. I still enjoy playing my music and am a member of the Loudoun Symphonic Winds, a community band in Loudoun County. I live in Sterling with my husband, Mark, our spunky two-year girl, Eleanor, and our Rottweiler/Shepherd mix, Masha.

These pictures are from summer 2015 when I accomplished a goal I have had since the sixth grade - to climb to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park! I hiked 20 miles in one day and climbed up the cables to the top of the mountain. The views were spectacular and I am so glad that I worked hard to accomplish this goal!  Hiking is one of the many things I enjoy doing in my free time.

I am really looking forward to this new school year and being able to accomplish many more goals!
