Mrs. Kuzma

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Kuzma

I'm so excited to be joining Buffalo Trail this year. My educational journey began in southern Florida as a 5th grade teacher. My husband and I relocated to Fauquier County where we have been for the last 20 years. This is my 3rd year in Loudoun, 13th year as a technology trainer and 24th year in education. I've taught elementary and post graduates as well as an instructor for colorguard. All of this teaching began with two degrees from Bloomsburg University (B.S in Education) and Virginia Tech (Masters in Curriculum with a focus on Technology Instruction).

My home is filled with fun! My husband is a career highschool History teacher and has coached a few sports. Our oldest daughter also found her passion in marching band and was selected as a colorguard member (flags) for Macy's Great American Marching Band, part of the 2019 Thanksgiving Day Parade. We have two younger children (16 and 11) who are always involved in sports as they love soccer, wrestling and football.  When I have a little bit of free time I cycle everywhere which is my favorite way to see any new city.

As for technology, it's one of my passions. It can connect our lives in so many ways. STEM and Makerspace is where I dive in deep! Making imaginations come to life is one of the greatest joys of my job. When a person can take some cardboard items, pipe cleaners and other craft items and make them come alive with computers and wires...that's one of the neatest accomplishments to watch.

I look forward to all of the adventures we will have together on the Trail!
