COVID-19 Case Data - Daily Snapshot

About this data

  • Loudoun County Public Schools is committed to providing current information to the community about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our schools.

The data above provides information about two categories of students and staff members who have reported testing positive for the virus that causes COVID-19 within the last 24 hours. Data displayed on Mondays will reflect new cases reported on Fridays.

Active Cases Isolating: The number of active positive cases among staff members and students who participate in-person at an LCPS school or worksite, by school or work location. Those individuals who test positive isolate for 5 days and are excluded from participation in any activity at an LCPS facility (including attending classes, athletic practices or reporting for on-site work, in the case of employees).

Numbers reflected each day will increase or decrease depending on the required period of isolation (5 days) or quarantine (5 days). When isolation or quarantine dates expire, those cases will be removed from the totals above.

Quarantining: Those individuals who are deemed close contacts with a person with COVID quarantine for 5 days. Visit the FAQ’s to learn more about how students who are quarantining continue to participate online for classes.

Please note: Any student that is identified as a close contact will initially be asked to quarantine. If parents provide evidence of completion of the primary series vaccination (ages 5-17), booster (18 and older), or proof that the student had COVID within the last 90 days per CDC (1.6.22) guidelinesVDH Guidelines (1.7.22) and LCPS guidelines, the student may remain in school. If this is the case, the individual will be removed from the quarantine total above.
