2014 Dulles District (Champe, Dominion, Heritage, Loudoun County, Loudoun Valley, Park View, Woodgrove).  The
1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th place teams from 2013 are in our "New" District. Three of them are in the "Sectional playoffs" the week before Memorial Day. There is a very good chance, at least 1 if not 2 of them will make the State Lacrosse tournament. Loudoun Valley was a goal away from being there as well. Motivation comes from within, the desire to be better can come from anywhere! Our new district should serve as that reason to work! Amongst other reason... personal improvement, making the team better, putting the We... before the me!
 
2013 Lacrosse Summer Opportunities –

just remember the important thing is to get involved in some activity that keeps a stick in your hands over the summer.

Leagues

  • Triple Edge – based in Chantilly, has both a no-practice league, and camps and clinics.  Have not updated their webpage for the summer yet.   www.tripleedgelax.com
  • ****HERITAGE WILL FIELD at LEAST ONE TRIPLE EDGE TEAM**** Hopefully two (based on experience)
  • Cavalier Monday Night House League –check with Bruce Lipson (briar Woods head coach) 703-300-1494 or register at www.cavalierlacrosse.com – involves a half hour of instruction followed by a full game on Monday nights.  Look at the right side of the webpage.  I think it is $119.  Games will be somewhere in the Ashburn area within a mile Briar Woods.
  • Virginia Elite – think this is just a fall outdoor and winter indoor league.  Run by Earl Brewer (Head Coach at Langley High School) www.virginia-elite-lacrosse.com

  • Heritage  - see flyer for the camp. See Coach Burke or Mr. Smart with questions

Select Teams

Lots of organizations have already selected their teams.  Rebelax and Nova West are having tryouts this Sunday May 19.  Washington Generals having tryouts June 1 and 2.  Check their respective websites for more information.  They might have had someone drop out and have an opening.  Expect to pay tryout fees of about $25.

                Go to the website www.laxpower.com and go to the 6th Pulldown Tab across the page “Resources”.  The first item listed is Camps and Clinics.  You can select whatever radius and timeframe you want to search for camps.
