Attention all advanced-level readers: Do you enjoy reading literature from around the world? Are you interested in publishing reviews of timeless works by Voltaire, Cervantes, Tolstoy, and more? Apply to be a member of the Society of Literary Review, and have the opportunity to discuss the world’s greatest classics with your fellow peers. Applications are available outside Room 207 and on the Briar Woods website. All applications must be turned in to Mrs. Massey by Friday, October 31st at 9 a.m. All grades are welcome to apply.
This week is Teen Read Week, and the library will be hosting some reading inspired activities! Today's activity is Bingo. Stop by the library today during your lunch break or in between classes to pick up a bingo card. The library is giving out prizes to the first ten who complete a bingo card. This week you can also submit a poem, short story, or other literary work to the Talon Literary Arts Magazine. Attention Key Club! The Health Committee meeting scheduled for afterschool today has been CANCELLED. It has been rescheduled for Friday after school in room 514. We will be deciding on our events for the year so come with ideas!

Briar Crew will be holding an Ergothon October 18th 11am-1pm in front of the Broadlands Neighborhood Safeway. Come out and support the team.
Tomorrow is the first senior class breakfast of the year. The breakfast will start at 8:45 and go until 9:30, in the cafeteria. After breakfast, seniors will be able to use the gym, go to the library, stay in the cafeteria or go to the auditorium to watch a movie. It is PSAT day so classes will not start until 12:30
