week's Black history month question was "who was the first
African-American to serve as a governor, and what state did he represent?"
Reyan Ibraham correctly responded that the first to serve as governor was
P.B.S. Pinchback, who served as lieutenant governor or Louisiana, and then
governor when Henry Warmoth resigned. Additionally, Reyan identified
Douglass Wilder of Virginia as the first elected African-American governor.
For correctly answering these questions Reyan wins a $10 Starbucks card
which can be collected from Mr. Whitehead.
