Ms. Burk's Webpage
Ms. Burk has been teaching in Loudoun County for 33 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education /Education from George Washington University and a Master's degree in Middle School Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech. Ms. Burk served as Loudoun Education Association President from 1996 to 2000. Presently she serves as the chair person of the Shenandoah University Teacher of the Year Board. Ms. Burk, as team teacher for House A, 8th grade, works with the general education teachers to successfully integrate the all students into the general population. In 2004, Ms. Burk was election to the Leesburg Town Council. In 2007 Ms.Burk was elected to the Loudoun Board of Supervisors representing the Leesburg District where she served for 4 years. In 2012 she was elected to the Leesburg Town Council. With all her local government, Ms. Burk will be working with the Civics teachers this year.
