Welcome to Life Science 7. You are about to embark on a new experience as a seventh grader. Let us set goals and work very hard to accomplish those goals. I encourage you to be an active class participant and a positive team member. Emphasis is placed on the scientific process as well as changes that occur in our environment, patterns, and the interaction of living things. Topics to be discussed include: principles of genetics, classification, adaptations of organisms in biomes, cell theory, interdependence of organisms and biological change over time. A variety of activities are used to foster the development of science skills and aid in the understanding of  concepts. Whenever possible I like to integrate other subject areas with science, especially the arts. I enjoy teaching, singing, word games and TV documentaries. In the 2008-2009 school year I was honored with an award for my service and commitment to students. I have taught at BRMS for 39 years.
